Lavished Entertainment originated in January 2014 when 28-year-old Ashley Pitts was out of work and looking for purpose. Pitts, in 2013 was working at Buffalo Wild Wings as a server and bartender until she felt in her spirit that there was more for her to do with her life. She quit Buffalo Wild Wings after working for the company for nearly 3 years in June 2013. At that time her and her fiancé were planning their August 2013 wedding and money was tight, but she felt strongly about her decision and decided to leave the company for good. Her fiancé was very supportive and encouraged her to follow God and see where He would take her. After quitting it wasn’t easy for her to find her niche but she kept praying, meditating and seeking God for direction to know how to find and use the gifts He had blessed her with. After approximately 6 months she believed God gave her clear answers to those mysterious questions of the what, who and the how. He exposed through meditation her strengths in organization, order, structure, planning and in leadership that lead to the idea of event planning. She gathered around her a team of 4 that included her and 3 friends that later dwindled down to 1 friend. In the beginning the two did well for their first 3-6 months. They have succeeded events such as a Lavished Ent. launch party, a fashion mixer, a speed-dating event and a 30th birthday bash and also had an internship program. During the remainder of the first year there were a few hiccups and business was not going as well as it was planned. The events lessen and eventually Pitts’ became the last one standing.
Coming into the second year was a bit confusing for Pitts and she needed to really focus on the direction of where the company should go. Going back to the drawing board and restructuring the business was the thought process she had. Again, through prayer and meditation she spoke to God for guidance and direction, and since then he had unveiled the truths behind her failure. Pitts stated, “God told me that the assignment that He has for me is not intended for other people. This is what He wants me to do by myself, for myself. For them to leave is ok because this wasn't their assignment. They were not meant to be there. He assigned me to do this work and I disobeyed by tagging people along for the ride. He wants me to put my full trust in Him and not in other people. I have to believe that He loves me enough to give me everything I need to become successful in life and in my own business.”
After entering into her second year Ashley found out she was pregnant again with her second child in January 2015. She took time off from Lavished Ent. to take care of her growing family. After a while Pitts did attempt to have a comedy show in March 2015 that flopped hard due to lack of publicity and marketing. She wanted to see one last time if event planning was the direction she would continue to go in. After having that devastating event she decided to follow a different path which brought her back to her initial love, multi-media production. With having a degree in Communications Media, where she studied at Indiana University of PA , Ashley saw endless opportunities in current social media outlets that will allow her to be creative and to create new, fresh and positive content. Since then, she has created, produced and directed two web shows called The Hashtag This Show which premiered August 8, 2016 and coming soon, Stick It Out - Relationship Realities that are and will be shown on her Youtube and Facebook channels. Ashley is a jack of all trades. From creating flyers and business cards, to web and graphic designing, photography, videography, editing, producing and directing, there are no limits to what this young, vibrant woman can do. Pitts, is happier than ever before and she is hungry for success. Her hard work will pay off so keep watching as her career will blossom into something Amazing.
